The NAMB Send Relief “Serve Tour” is coming to Tulsa over Fall Break! This provides us with the opportunity to partner with some local churches in the Tulsa area to provide aid where they need it most by taking care of some physical needs they have!
WHAT: We will be taking part in a service project to demolish an old decrepit fence at a local neighborhood. It has outlived its usefulness and is an eyesore to the community so they want us to take it out!
WHERE: We will be staying at Angus Church on the west side of Tulsa. A good friend of mine is the youth pastor there and they will be wonderful hosts for us while we stay overnight Thursday night and Friday night.
WHEN: We will leave Thursday evening the 14th about 5 o’clock and head to Tulsa! We will get settled in at Angus and have dinner somewhere close to the church there in town. Friday morning, we will get up and meet with our project coordinator and get our assignment and head to our job site. We will work from about 8-5 and then go back and clean up. After that, we will have the evening to have some worship time together, hang out and play games, and may head into Tulsa and hit up the Gathering Place one evening. We will do something very similar on Saturday and will be back late Saturday night about 10-11pm.
WHY: I love Fall Back at Falls Creek, but here’s the thing. We are not put on this planet just to hang out, hear sermons, play games, and come back home. We are called by God to make a difference on this planet. I feel like this weekend serves our 5 goals of worship, discipleship, evangelism, service, and fellowship much more than going to Falls Creek does at this point in our ministry. So, join us and make an actual difference while still having a blast doing it!
HOW TO SIGN UP: Text Tod at 405-637-9868. Space is limited to 12 students, so, first come first served.
